Greetings to everyone from Ghana:

Pastor Bud and I made it safely to Accra yesterday afternoon at 5pm Ghana time.   After an adventuresome plane ride...mainly with Pastor Bud attempting to entertain me with BAD, but you can't help but laugh at jokes.  :o)

"Working" our way through customs (which was surprisingly pretty smooth considering all our baggage).  We were greeted warmly by Akorfur and shortly thereafter by Amadu.  Kwami showed up about an hour later as he was having trouble with the clutch on the Land Cruiser.  After he showed up, we loaded up all our stuff and they dropped Pastor Bud and I at the Ghana Institute of Linguistic, where we'll stay until we leave for Kumasi tomorrow morning if all goes as planned.  Kwami was going to fix the clutch and according to Amadu, Kwami was able to find the part needed to fix the truck.  We will appreciate prayers from everyone that the truck will get fixed safely as both Pastor Bud and I would rather not be stranded 1/2 way between Accra and Kumasi.

The guesthouse at GIL is very nice, Pastor Bud was considerably nice to allow me to stay in the apt while he took the little tiny room on the other side of the complex.  The weather in Accra is cloudy and humid and it feels like rain.  Pastor Bud checked the internet to see what the weather is like in Kumasi, it's suppose to be scattered thunderstorms all week.  Since I love thunderstorms, this doesn't bother me.  Although the humidity is not as great!  :o)  It's supposed to be in the 90s with all that rain, so you can imagine what the humidity is going to be like.  :o)

Today we're taking it easy and getting ourselves accustomed to the time zone.  Let's see...what other adventures have we had since we arrived.  Oh...as much as Pastor Bud would rather have me not share this...I feel it's a need to know basis for you all.  He grabbed an egg this morning thinking it was a hard boiled egg...it wasn't...let's just say that I didn't have the camera out at the right time.  The look on his face holding the cracked egg oozing out yolk was definitely priceless.   He ended up having to opt for scrambled eggs for breakfast instead.  :o)

We will keep you posted as the days go by.  We also thank you for all your continued prayers!

God's Blessings!
