Greetings!

We've had two full days of classes.  My students are learning various Bible Stories, Daniel in the Lion's Den, Baal, Jesus calms the storm, etc.  Pastor Bud's students are focusing on why it is important to evangelize, share the good news of Jesus.

Two of my students, Sarni and Amunti, are exposed on a daily basis to the Muslim faith, their parents are Muslims.  They on the other hand have been taught recently about the Christian faith by some of the students that Pastor Bud is teaching evangelism to.  The boys were encouraged to attend the classes that I am teaching this week and next week to learn more about Jesus.  They are very eager to learn more.  Please pray for them that they will continue to grow in their faith and that God will protect them within their own families as they study God's words.  We also pray that they may someday be baptized and can share their faith with others as well.

Also today during lunch, two of Pastor Bud's students, Andrew and Edward, and I were sitting around chatting about various things, when they mentioned that in Ghana, if a Deaf couple has a Deaf Child, the Ghanaians believe that the family has been cursed.  Upon hearing that, both Pastor Bud and I decided it was important to focus that it is not a curse, but a Blessing from God.  We spent part of the afternoon talking about that, focusing on the verse from Leviticus 19:14 "You shall not curse a deaf man, nor place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall revere your God" (NASB).  We ask for prayers for those who are not Christians who strongly believe that their family has been cursed, that they learn that God loves them and is not punishing them.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to tomorrow as I'll be heading up to Mole (pronounced moe-lay) with Pastor Bud, Amadu, Kwame, and Elsie.  I'm excited that Elsie will be joining us as she and I have gotten to know each other pretty well because she and Rachel have been staying in the house with Pastor Bud and I.  Elsie, Rachel, and I share a room together.  It will be a fun trip for all of us and I won't be the only female on this trip with a bunch of crazy guys.  Elsie can help me pick on the guys. :o)

Lastly, however, I have to mention, as Samson told me that I have to share this with Pastor Reinke, I may as well share it with all of you.  Samson says, "Pastor Bud is VERY funny when he plays football (soccer) with them".  They were all pretty amused watching him.  I think everyone spent more time laughing at him than playing.  :o)

Again, we thank everyone for their continued prayers and we will send you an update after we return from Mole.

  God's Blessings!
