Greetings,

Today is our last full day in Ghana.  We leave for the states tomorrow evening at 7pm Ghana time.

We've been spending our last few days in Accra, staying at the Ghana Institute of Linguistic compound.  Our trip to Accra on Saturday was, once again, another adventure.  We had another issue with the car, I'm beginning to HATE that vehicle!  :o) Apparently the clutch gear came apart, luckily we were only about seven miles from a major city called, Nkawkaw (pronounced Cocoa).  Amadu was able to get us a big van to take us the rest of the way to Accra.  It was much more comfortable, I have to admit, riding the rest of the way in the van.  We were all able to pretty much stretch out and relax.  After arriving, we made arrangements with a friend of the Lutheran church, Mr. Asante, to transport us to various places that we need to be at.

On Sunday, Mr. Asante picked up Pastor Bud, Akorfur, and I and took us to Adomrobe (pronounced Adam-row-bay).  Adomrobe is a village about 45 minutes south of Accra.  Their sign language is very different than those we've worked with.  Akorfur and another guy interpreted for us, however, before we left, I was able to read and understand a lot of their signs.  That was an interesting experience!  Akorfur led the worship service and after the service, we went to check out a piece of the land that was brought for them to begin their own business to make and sell corn mill.  The money that they will earn from that will help send kids to school or with their daily living expenses.  However, due to various financial issues, the project has not started yet.  Please pray for them that they will be able to begin working on that and be able to then earn the money needed for expenses.

This morning, after our visit to the cultural center and doing a bit of shopping, we headed to the ELCG (Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ghana) main office to greet those who work there and for a brief meeting with Mr. Dappah, the treasurer for the ELCG regarding the land issue in Adomrobe.  Then it was back to the GIL to rest up and pack up the rest of our stuff.

We thank you all for your support and prayers throughout our time here.  We ask for continued prayers for all the students who have learned (or were reminded) about how much God Loves them and that they will continue to spread the Good News throughout Ghana.

  God's Blessings to you all!
