Hi again,

We are in the internet Cafe next to sweet bites.  It is soooooo slllooooowwwwww.  Also sweetbites is closed until Aug 31 and bud really wanted some humus.

Travel went very well so far.  The greatest is watching and talking with Alan about his experiences.

I told him we always meet deaf people.  I don't think he believed me until we met a deaf worker in the Frankfurt airport.  He was from turkey and it was great talking with him for 1/2 hour or so between flights.  He is a Christian!

We meet Akorful in Accra and he shared with us the challenges they have been facing.  WOW Satan is working over time.  For one there is a couple of American Jehovah’s witness pastors who are giving the deaf free lunch to come and worship with them.  What a deal - free food and spiritual food that will send you to hell.

We took Alan to see a little of the culture and give him a taste of life in Ghana so he would understand more of the cultural aspects.  It really opened his eyes to see the way people lived.  We thought maybe we should have Alan quotes.

"So many people, living in THOSE house, so close together!"

"It is very dirty"

'The people are packed in the outdoor markets"

"You can drive 140 km per hour on the good roads!"

"A crossed out 50 means no speed limit"

"Chop bar means a place to get meat?" (Don’t know what kind)

We began our first day of teaching today.  It was great to see the Evangelists and leaders.  They are so excited to see us back again.

Our first class today was again discussing the Law and Gospel issues.  All of the other "churches" emphasize the law, law law.  They had many questions on forgiveness and what some other people said.  I am so glad we are here to help them see the Gospel.

One of the students said someone from another "church" told him that if he believed in Jesus, then told a lie or stole something, then he was not really a Christian and he would not go to heaven.  Can you believe it!!!!!!  We had about 2 hours discussing law and gospel and showing bible verses for them to use when they talk with other deaf.

Please pray for us!!

Alan got his first real Ghanaian meal today.  He did very well. Weather is very cool this time of year!  Must be in the 70's!! A few days up in the 90's - very cloudy and rainy.

This is very different from last year, what a difference two weeks make

We hope to have classes with the younger children begin tomorrow.

Please pray for all the deaf and us!

This is a little disjointed as I am typing fast as things come to mind.

I don't want to take too long and have the computer mess up - smile.
