Boy, we have not had much time while we are here.

We had a great time starting on Monday.  All of the deaf we eager to see us and get started teaching.

The only bummer was not having children at the school, but God took care of that yesterday and today.  They are up to 11 children now and continuing to grow!

We have been having a great time teaching class – 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM

We are now sending email after taking everyone to the tro tro drop off.

We are talking about the place for land to have a deaf high school with evangelist training center and pastor training center!!!  Amadu is helping us to work through the process and get things started.  It will probably take about 400 to 500,000 dollars to get everything up and going.  But it looks very possible - now starting asking God - help!

The Evangelists are really working hard and I pray God will continue to bless them.

I thank God today we discussed again about baptism and Lord’s Supper.  I was so proud of our students, one new student came with questions and they answered for her with a great witness about baptism and forgiveness.  It was fantastic to see and God has given me great hope that His Word is touching and changing their lives!

Some of the new Alan and Barbara quotes=

WOW was the response of teaching a full day in a windowless, open-air classroom, with no electricity.

It was cool watching the mouse run up and down the wall

Alan took his first picture of a gecko lizard in the house.

They had a great time chasing the giant cockroach in the kitchen - smile

They enjoyed their first bath with the towel at the Indian restaurant

When the food came we did not know what it was and neither did the server!!

Alan has a new name sign here - they did not like the r restaurant sign, so he is now r rock sign.  They thought his last name looked like rock and they thought it was better.

Please continue to pray for us and all of the deaf.

They are meeting on Saturday to set the schedule for reaching out.  They will decide where to send all the evangelists in training - which schools and which days.  Please pray for God to guide them.  They also want to set up 7 more Bible studies.  We pray this will meet with Gods approval and blessing.

We are helping to host the pastors meeting of the ELCG at the house this week.  Please pray for their safe travel and God will bless their meetings.  This will be a great time for all of them to see the deaf too.  God sure planned that one!!

We love you and ask you to pray for us all.  We are heading to bed!

Bed bugs and all - smile.
