We had fantastic last few days!!

We have 12 leaders in the DIT/Evangelist training classes!! 4 of the Evangelists have been able to come to the DIT Pastor classes. Plus Pastor Palmer and Barbara have a group of active! Youth at the school. WOW it has been great! Possibly have more Baptisms again??

The weather has been really good. Humidity is still high, but the temp has been comfortable. 70's at night and high 80's to low 90's in the day. Has been very cloudy too with showers off and on. Finally saw this round shiny thing in the sky today and boy did it warm up.

We have been having a great time with all the young leaders coming to learn. They are very eager to take what they are learning back to their schools in September. Please pray for God to use them to spread His Word to many many parts of Ghana!

One of the coolest stories is the young deaf girl who came to church on Sunday and said she wanted to join our classes. She came from over 25 miles, by herself, at her own costs in the tro tros. That would be almost like us walking from Madison to Milwaukee to learn God's Word. Then we learned on Monday that her family did not believe there was a deaf church. So we drove her home and met her family. We were very worried they might be Muslim or ??? But they seem to have some contact with Christians, thank God.

We did the custom and met with the oldest person in the family, the grandmother. If the oldest person accepts you, then it is ok. If they do not, then you are shut out. I thank God one of the workers with us, Amadu, came along and spoke Twi to the family. After we explained and met they were very happy to have her join us. She is even staying at the guesthouse on the compound so she does not need to ride that far every day. She and many of the other youth are real gems. I pray God continues to keep them strong and growing in faith.

I am very impressed with our Evangelists. When we arrived last Fall there was some real tension and problems. But Thank God He has been helping them and guiding them. They are working together and helping each other much more!! They have been working very hard in the classes and once again I am impressed with their knowledge and willingness to serve. I see this also in many leaders in America and I thank God for you and I am praying for you - even in Ghana!
We went to look at a truck today to buy for using in the future. It was way too old. But now the "fitter" (the mechanic) from Holy Trinity knows we are looking at the same kind of truck. He will continue looking to find us a good deal. That will save the costs on "renting" a vehicle. Please pray for God to help us find a good one.
We had some great quotes:

Missed a dog on the road and Alan said "bummer, lost our lunch" smile.
All the guys saw a cat at a place to eat and we all thought we should take it for the party on Thursday - smile

The little kids in the class like Pastor Palmer and hug him lots, they like he is "soooo big" - smile.

We found we three guys are very boulo - we are big men.

Please pray for us as we meet with the leaders on Thursday night about the land for a deaf Lutheran school. We will see what God has planned.

Also pray for us for safe travel and for all the deaf leaders. Please pray for us as we meet with Dr. Fynn and the other officials, that God will bless and open up the plans He has for us.

I thank God for all the people on our team too. He has really helped us to work together and I rejoice how He is using each of us.

Thank you everyone for all your prayers and support. Without you none of this would be possible. I thank God He has brought us together for such a time as this.
Serving Him Together in distant lands,

Pastor Reinke, Pastor Palmer, Deacon Rork, and Barbara
