Today was a very good day.

We met with the "Chiefs" today at the ELCG office.  6 officials from the ELCG plus Palmer, Akorful, and myself discussed what has been happening so far, evaluating, and putting in ideas for the next 2 1/2 years.

They expressed interest in helping to train some of their people to sign/interpret for them in communication for Pastors meetings, etc.  So we are thinking if some of you LCMS interpreters want to come along and lead a sign class for the hearing, using the Ghanaians signs, would be GREAT.  We have a book you can practice with and help them get started.  It would also mean teaching the Deaf Leaders how to teach a sign language class so they can do it after we leave.

This has been the most interest they have shown as a group.  They want to communicate with the Deaf - thank God!

Then went to Adomrobe.  Finally the walls are up!!!!!  They have the walls for the corn mill completed, will do the beams and roof soon.  Good.  Good. Good.  Then hopefully they can begin to support themselves more with the money from the corn mill.

Next they will begin working on the church building.  I am not sure what we will need to finish it; we will discuss that this week too.

Tomorrow we will go to sign the last papers to have ownership of the land.  Understand that we really cannot own land - the Chief owns the land.  He allows you to use it, but if you stop using it or the buildings fall down - the chief can take the land back.
